ISPE Biotechnology Workshop about the development, production and marketing authorization processes of biotechnological products was held in Acıbadem University on February 15, 2019 with the participation of over 100 delegates.



At the well-attended workshop, following the opening remarks of MSc. Pharm. Buket Hekiman Bayraktar (Chair of ISPE Turkey Affiliate) and Prof. Dr. Serdar Alpan (Head of Turgut Pharmaceuticals’ Biotechnology Group), the Head of Marketing Authorization Department of Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TMMDA) MSc. Pharm. Hacer Coşkun Çetintaş elaborated on the current situation and prospective expectations for the marketing authorization processes of biotechnological products and answered questions of the participants on the topic.



In the second session following the coffee break, development of peptide antibiotics were explained by Assoc. Prof. Özge Can (Faculty member at Acıbadem University’s Medical Engineering Department) and the studies conducted in cooperation with Acıbadem University and Turgut İlaç in the field of biosimilar development were discussed in detail via the presentation of Dr. Ahmet Emin Atik (Turgut Pharmaceuticals Laboratory Supervisor).
