ISPE Turkey Affiliate’s Seminar was held on 15 November 2019 at İstanbul – Barbaros Point Hotel with a large turnout, around the theme of “Hot Topics: Technology Transfer, Quality Culture, Personalized Therapy and Toxicological Evaluations”.



Following the opening speeches, Bruce Davis (Director at Global Consulting), co-chair of ISPE's Technology Transfer Guide preparation committee, comprehensively discussed the current approaches in technology transfer and the implementation steps required for a successful implementation in line with the new regulations. Burcu Ergül, Roche FMI Business Development Manager, presented the latest developments in personalized diagnosis and therapy systems with her presentation that shed light on the future of the pharmaceutical industry.

After lunch break, Bayer Country Cluster Quality Head for Turkey & Iran Pharm. S. İlknur Gümüşeli Hırçın elaborated on the key principles for quality culture in the pharmaceutical industry. On the last session of the day, Prof. Dr. Semra Şardaş (Vice Dean at Istinye University’s Faculty of Pharmacy & Head of Toxicology Department) presented toxicological data, evaluation methods and current developments which are very important for pharmaceutical production in shared facilities, and the seminar was concluded with an interactive Q&A session.
